Hello everyone. Today’s card has some great gossip. I’m sure they are whispering about which boy likes them. What do you think? I love this image from Mo Manning put the poor girls have been waiting to spread their gossip for quite some time.
The challenge I am entering the card in is Mo’s Digital Challenge #76 – Buttons and Bows.
Nearly all of the girls’ clothing is paper-pieced and the paper is all from the same range (see below). I hope those Ugg boots are the original Ugg’s from Australia. I watched a program on TV a while ago about a small Australian family company who were taken to court for using the name Ugg Boots – it was very interesting. Just shows what big companies with lots of money can do.
Enough of that on with the card –
Card Recipe:
- Stamp – Mo Manning (Danni)
- Coloured with Copics and lots of paper-piecing
- Sentiment – Hero Arts
- Card – Kaiser Card
- Paper – Basic Grey (Olivia)
- Ribbon & buttons – PTI
- Paper Lace – K & Company
- Dies – Spellbinders
Bye for now,
I’m back…. the market is successfully over for another month and I’m getting back into routine (well routine for me???).
Today’s card is for By LORi Design Challenge BLDC11. Here is the inspiration:-
I thought the colours were perfect for a baby boy card. BABY – NAPPY (Diaper) click — had to be a “Diaper” fold card. I have added an example of what could go into the pocket but of course you could add lots of other little goodies. Here it is:-
Here is the card opened. I had to cut the back page of the card on an angle so it would stand.
The little nappy is a scrap of felt and the bottle and teat have Dimensional Magic added. Inside the card I have added a very light image of the baby – light enough to write over.
Card Recipe
- Digi image – By LORi Designs (Baby Boy with T-shirt)
- Coloured with Copics
- Card – Core-dinations
- Paper – American Crafts (Little Boy Blue) – this was one of my favourite papers – way back then…..
- Dies – Spellbinders
- Edge Punch – Fiskars
- Dimensional Magic
- Felt
Here is an easy tutorial for the diaper fold card.
See you tomorrow with another new challenge.
Hello, I’m back with a photo of one of my shoe cards and one thong card. It is a long, long time since I have made a thong card but I had a request for a purple thong (flip-flop) card so here it is. As for shoe cards I am really “shoed out”. I needed a rest to get inspired again but I had a request for a pink shoe card for a wedding, so here is my take.
It is the Caledonian Market again this Sunday (hope I make it – daylight savings starting or finishing always puts my body clock out). Read my “about” tab to see more about the market. I have made a few Easter things. I know Easter is still weeks away but the next market is after Easter, so we will see if anyone is planning ahead. If there is no interest I can always use them myself.
Bye for now,
I think it is this weekend that we turn our clocks back and “daylight savings” ends. Looking out of the window this morning I think that is a good thing. It is very foggy this morning and still dark at 7 am. I usually get a bit sad and sorry when daylight savings ends because you know that winter is just around the corner, but this year I am going to look at it positively and think that just gives me more time inside to make cards (lol )
It is time for March’s ATC’s at the Imagination Factory. I forgot to take a sneak photo of my group of cards before I dropped them in so I only have the one close up to show you. This month’s theme was FLOWERS.
This was a very simple stamp and glitter card – very delicate.
A couple of friends have asked that we start a group to have some fun. So here is a sneak peek at mine for March – theme FAIRYTALES.
Have you guessed that the fairytale is the “Frog Prince”.
Bye for now,

Bye for now,
Yesterday we went to Woop Woop (for non Australians it is slang for “an imaginary place used to describe somewhere very remote” also “Back of Beyond”, “Beyond the Black Stump” etc.) The Woop Woop we went to is actually a little farm near Castlemaine, Victoria. It was for dh’s cousin’s 60th birthday. I have never seen so many Aussie sayings in one place. Most of them aren’t used much anymore but it was good to reminisce. Just to list a few: ducks disease, ankle biters, full as a goog, perve, sticky beak – I could go on and on. Here is the card I made for him (he used to be a carpenter (chippy, wood doctor).
Goodbye (Hooroo)
You know the feeling “it just needs another little something”. Well that is how I felt with this card until there was barely a spot left. I added lace, ribbon, 2 papers, stickers, flowers, glitter, flock, Dimensional Magic, Kindy Glitz – have I missed anything? 😀 The dear little image of Mimi I have used originally was holding a heart but I wanted an Easter egg. So I punched out pink polka dot paper and covered it with Dimensional Magic and Glitter to (hopefully) give it a foil-like look. Then I used my craft knife around her hand and placed the egg over the heart and under her hand.
Well now that it is finally finished I am going to enter it in the Stamps R Us – Challenge 17 – Celebrate Spring.

Bye for now,
Today I am joining the All that Scraps Wednesday Sketch Challenge and I think I am the first to enter – speedy hey. This is the sketch –
The little fellow holding the cupcake on my card looks a little bit like one of my grandsons (only his hair should be much lighter – must get some more really light Copics ) I’m afraid I am a bit pedantic – there was 1 candle on the cupcake (I know my sister will be cringing 😉 now because we used to call them buns until they became so trendy and popular) so of course I couldn’t put another age could I? It had to be for a first birthday. So here it is and hope you like it.

Bye for now,
Welcome back. Just a bit of fun today and no colouring or stamping (except for the sentiments). I found these cute chook (hen) cards on “Sassy and Sweet” blog (see side bar) and just had to try them. I thought they could be okay for Easter – which is scarily close 😯 How did that sneak up on me?
Anna’s cards look much more like chooks than mine, but I’m still happy, they were fun.
Bye for now,
I’m back, as promised, with another La-Lal Land stamp. This one is “Star Boy Luka” I just HAD TO add the sentiment – I thought it was perfect for a “Super” boy – Superman’s family definitely wasn’t “normal”. And look no kryptonite in sight.
Once again I am going to link this card to the La-La Land Crafts blog → click here to have a peep at the blog. You will also be able to see the card “live” at the Imagination Factory.

Bye for now,
Welcome back. I have a new (for me) style of card and brand of stamp today so I’m a bit excited. I saw this really cute “Sliding Pop-Up” card on Katherine’s blog and just had to try one for myself. The stamp is from La-La Land Crafts. Woo hoo – the Imagination Factory are stocking these cute stamps now. I will drop the card into the store soon so you can have a closer look. Now for the photo – taa-dah
This is the card lying flat ready to put in a standard size envelope
And here is the “pop-up” version.
La-La Land Crafts blog have a gallery and I think I will add this card to it. (just a shame about the photo). Here is their site if you would like to have a peep.
I am having trouble taking photos on cloudy days (and I know that unfortunately we will be having a lot more of them soon 😦 ) so I was thinking of a new camera but I have changed my mind (mainly because of the $’s) and might take a look at lamps instead. Does anyone have suggestions for what I should be looking for?

I’ll be back tomorrow with a card, sorry I have been a bit out of routine lately.
I am trying to catch up on a few requests I have and today’s post is PART of one of those. The photo shows 2 of the 4 “male” chocolate covers (including Lindt chocolate). I have only made the 2 so far. I will show you the others when they are finished.

See you soon,
I promised two people I would make a tutorial for a “Stand Up” style card. I didn’t know where to start really, so I hope it is alright if I give you directions to a site which shows clearly and easily how to make one. These instructions are by Penny Wessenauer. I hope it is the right thing to direct you to her instructions. Here is her terrific link
Hope that helps, if you have any other questions I would be very pleased to hear from you.
I have 2 stand up cards on this site if you want to have a look – here and here .
Well I am very excited, I am the proud owner of a few Mini World Magnolia stamps. They are soooo cute. I had to have a play as soon as I got them. They aren’t for first time stampers I don’t think but after a little experience I am sure everyone will love them. Just wanted to stamp and colour and then had to use them somehow so I made a set of small note cards with the images. The cards are 9 x 9 cm square – very simple but the images are so cute the rest of the card doesn’t really matter 😀 What do you think? Do you love them as much as me?
That’s all for today – I’m babysitting.
