Here is another Christmas gift and/or card. It is an easel card with a box at the front with a battery tea light in it. I am biased, but I think it is cute. This is a Sugar Nellie image coloured with copics. Lace and sparkle are always a good combination to my way of thinking.
See you tomorrow,
Read below this entry because I have added another bit of news.
Now that is probably something you didn’t want to know, but it is true. How can that be? So with that in mind here is a door hanger I have made for display at the Imagination Factory. I have another Christmas goody but I forgot to take a photo of it, but hopefully I’ll do it tomorrow.
My dh has just walked in with dinner for tomorrow night.
We have a lovely big dam which we have stocked with trout. It was a lovely evening and he decided to go for a fish. Needless to say he is very pleased with the result.
Bye,
Here are two cards I made a while ago. The first is another of our own stamps by Conny. I have coloured Mal (the kangaroo) with Copics and paperpieced his apron. The paper is “origins” from Basic Grey.
The second card is a digital image “at my age” from Bugaboo Stamps. Once again coloured with Copics and the paper is “the boyfriend” by Cosmo Cricket. I think it is funny that I have put this dear old fellow with paper called “the boyfriend”.
I’m going out for morning tea tomorrow and then having a card afternoon with friends. Sounds like a good way to finish the week doesn’t it?
See you tomorrow,
When I go to shop or visit I quite often go along a road which overlooks one of our reservoirs. It is lovely to see it so very full. It is not long ago that it was down to 25% capacity or less. For many years we have watched it getting lower and lower and not believing that it would ever be full again.
It must be at its full capacity because it looks like some of the trees are partly submerged.
I have made this card to enter Mojo Monday 159 Contest. They supply a sketch and you make a card using supplies you have. The sentiment is from Verve Stamps and the cupcake is from Rubber Stamps by Montaga (thanks to my sister for this cute stamp). You can’t see clearly in the photo but the cupcake paper is gold and also the scalloped edge above the ribbon. I thought most chocolates are wrapped in gold paper so it was appropriate.
This is the sketch you have to follow.
If you click on the sketch you will go to their site and can read more about the competition.
I’ll be back tomorrow,
I have been asked to make 3 wedding cards. So there is some choice I have made a few. I’ll show you just 2 and you will see how a different colour can make a big difference.
Happy birthday to my SIL. He is a keen drummer so I thought this little round card was perfect for him. Of course his drum kit is red.
See you tomorrow,
I thought I should take some photos of the Ballarat Civic Hall as is in 2010 before it is gutted for offices or demolished. The Council has 3 development options under consideration. Who knows how long it will be before anything is actually started but better I take the photos now before any more vandalism occurs.
Shakespeare and Scott statues are still in one piece out the front, I wonder if they will retain them in the new development?
I wonder how many Deb Balls, concerts (I remember going to see Johnny Farnham here in my teens), musical exams, school end of year dos, etc, etc were held here? What other things can you remember going to here?
Bye for today,
Here is my card for COPIC OZ challenge #3 all together spooky ~
Does she look pleased to be Dracula’s Bride? I’m not too sure. She is a stamp from The Greeting Farm.
While I was in the Halloween mood I made another. Then I couldn’t decide which to enter in the competition. The little witch is cute, but I decided on Drac’s wife.
This cute witch and fence stamps are from C.C. Designs.
The stamps are coloured with Copics (I can hear you saying…of course).
I’ll see you tomorrow,
Here is a photo of the cute little bear hats which I promised you.
While I was taking photos I thought I’d show you the daffodils I had just picked from our garden. Aren’t they just the happiest flowers. I’m not a flower arranger, I’m just a picker and put them in the vase type of person. You know I even went to a couple of community flower arranging classes, but it all seems a bit too much for me at the moment. Perhaps I’ll get back to it some day.
That’s all for today,
Well the market is over for this month, now time to clean up. It was lovely to see some faces I hadn’t seen since the market in April. Thanks to those who came along. Also a big thank you to two very kind friends who have helped me with the market and also made some very cute baby hats. (I’ll get a photo of the hats to show you soon).
Here are a couple of cards which I have in my stash.
I love the paper on this card. I have forgotten the maker and unfortunately can’t find any more of it. I think it would be a good card for someone who has just passed their learner’s or licence.
The next one I have cased from a magazine published earlier in the year. A few shadows on this photo because I am taking it at night, but I hope you can see the dimension on the skirt.
Okay see you tomorrow
Yesterday, as I was working in the office, I heard a wren’s distinctive tweet. I looked out the window and there right in front of me was a male blue wren. My camera was right next to me so…. click click. You know I reckon he was posing for me. They are the most beautiful little birds. Click here if you want to read about Blue Wrens.
I won’t have time to post tomorrow morning, but I’ll be back on Monday.
I just love this Magnolia stamp. It looks like she is blowing kisses and they are sparkly. So of course I had to colour a few of her. She is sitting on the front of a chocolate wrapper with lots of glitter, which doesn’t show very well in the photo. I know I would love to receive this as a little gift (chocolate – goes without saying really 😆 ).
Hope you enjoy your weekend.
Sorry if you are bored – only another couple of days then I’ll try to post something different (not cards).
You will notice that I am trying to build up my stash of male cards. It’s much easier making cards for females – why – flowers, ribbon, colours, papers, I won’t keep going. But the new images I have purchased for men/boys are really nice to colour so that makes it a lot easier.
These are both Mo Manning images. What do you think – okay?
See you tomorrow.
This little fellow is supposed to be a kelpie 😀 They say dog is man’s best friend. Hope this one is.
The next one is for all those boys out there who love their electronic games. I’m guessing there are a few. The image is a MoManning digital.
See you tomorrow,
I know Mother’s Day isn’t until next year but the little girl image just screamed out Mother’s Day. I coloured her with watercolour pencils and added some lace and flowers.
The next stamp only needs a little touch of colour with copics. The words say it all don’t you think. I love Emerson Quillin stamps.
Okay see you tomorrow.
