Family and food photos from Christmas day. I tried to add some healthy treats to the lollies and chocolates on the table.
Blueberries and watermelon “stars”.
Grape caterpillars with black icing eyes. Grandma had to eat most of the heads of the caterpillars ‘cos the children were very suspicious of the evil looking eyes lol.
Cheese, pretzel and “smartie” reindeer.
Strawberries and cream and again the black icing eyes, again the eyes had to be scrapped off before the kids would eat them.
cherries dipped in chocolate, dried apricots dipped in white chocolate and crushed pistachios (yummy – my favourite) and some reindeer bark (dark chocolate with crushed candy canes – not so healthy but fun).
Now a few family photos –
As you can see one little grandson loves “Woody” from Toy Story but when he unwrapped his hobby-horse he was not so keen. It was a bit scary 🙂 I hope he gets over it and can have some fun galloping around.
Smallest grandchild really enjoyed ripping the gifts open – more fun than the gifts 🙂
This grandson is just the right age to really appreciate Christmas and Santa and the excitement of it all.
Bye for now,

Lorraine~These are fantastic ideas. I am going to share this with my DIL b/c she is SO great at making sure my grandchildren & son eat healthy as well as my husband & I when we are there. Hopefully she will like some of your ideas too. Actually our grandchildren love fruits & veggies but this is a cute twist! Thanks. Happy New Year. I’m looking forward to following you another year! 🙂

Happy New Year Patti. The food went down a treat with the kids and adults. We are lucky like you because the littlies love fruit too but it is a fun way to present it. Keep up the good work with your blog and I look forward to dropping by. Best wishes, Lorraine
