As I’ve mentioned before we have been having the most beautiful weather. Autumn is not always this lovely but this year it is excelling. Usually in Autumn I take photos of the trees in their autumnal foliage CLICK or CLICK but this year I have chosen to make a card.
I die-cut the leaves and then used Brusho Powders to colour the leaves. I used a small background stamp of dots to fill the background with similar colours. Actually I over did the dots, wish I’d left more white space. The jewels are to represent the morning dew, but we haven’t been receiving even dew and definitely not much rain. The gardens are well overdue to receive some water.
I used the sentiment because I was thinking back to my childhood when one of the most fun things you could do would be run through the piles of fallen leaves. I don’t think children get the chance to do this very often now. Simple fun.
When the card was finished I went over the leaves with a clear Wink of Stella pen to add some shimmer. The photos have picked it up but in real life it is very subtle.
- Spellbinders shapeabilities – assorted leaves
- Hero Arts CL151 – Share Laughter (very old set)
- Stampin’ Up – Timeless Textures
- Brusho Powders
- Little Things from Lucy’s Cards – Chunky Ice Cube Jewels
- Wink of Stella clear pen
- Water Colour paper
Now I really must put my mind to my next project which is our (my sister and I) monthly challenge. This month’s challenge is due to be posted next Sunday night. The theme is “SHOES”. MMMMmmmmm thinking cap on.
Bye for now,
